The Canadian and African Business Women’s Alliance (CAABWA) is a non-profit, Canadian and African association with the mandate to eradicate poverty in some of the poorest countries in Africa by supporting African women entrepreneurs in their efforts to participate in international trade. CAABWA fulfills this mandate through partnerships with international, Canadian and African development organizations with similar goals to implement women economic empowerment projects in Africa. 

CAABWA is dedicated to improving the economic sustainability and growth in Africa. They work hard to encourage gender equality and empower women and to advance private sector development.

  • We have built a network of African women entrepreneurs through strategic alliances with women’s business organizations across Africa and with Canada

  • We facilitate access to training and and resource information to support export capacity building

  • We provide internships with young Canadian women with African women business organizations

  • We pursue donor agency/private funded projects which will fulfill our mandate
